To the overwhelmed woman… You are not alone!
To the overwhelmed woman… You are not alone!

Hey there, friend

Can I sit with you for a moment? Maybe you’re reading this in between folding yet another pile of laundry, or in your car waiting for school pick-up, or maybe you’ve hidden away in the bathroom for a few minutes just to breathe. Wherever you are,  I see you.

I know you feel tired. Not just the “I need a nap” tired, but the deep-in-your-bones weariness that comes from carrying too much for too long. You’re juggling school runs, work, extra murals, dinner, dishes, all while trying to hold your marriage, your faith, and your dreams together. And when you finally sit down to be still with God, the silence feels deafening, and you wonder if He’s forgotten that you, too, need to be held.

But let me remind you... you are not failing. You’re fighting.

Every unseen thing you do, every lunchbox packed, every sock folded, every whispered prayer in the dark when no one knows you’re awake, it matters. Heaven sees. God sees. And though it feels like your dreams are buried under dirty dishes and endless to-do lists, they are not dead... they are planted.

Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Can I tell you something? The harvest is coming. It may not look like what you pictured. It may grow slower than you hoped. But God wastes nothing, not even your exhaustion. He is with you in the overwhelm, and He’s closer than the breath you’re trying to catch.

You don’t have to do it all. You were never meant to. Some things can wait. Some things can be left undone. The laundry will never stop anyway, right? But your soul... your soul needs rest.

It’s okay to pause. To ask for help. To leave the dishes and sit at His feet, even if all you can do is whisper, “Lord, I’m here, and I need You.” He delights in that. He delights in you.

One day you’ll look back and see how He carried you through the nights you wanted to give up. One day you’ll see how these tiny, faithful steps led you closer to Him and closer to the woman He’s shaping you to be.

You’re not lost, friend. You’re held.

So take a deep breath. Drink that cup of coffee while it’s still warm. Whisper a little prayer. And know that this sisterhood is cheering you on — because you’re not alone, and you never were.

Prayer for today...

Lord, I’m tired. My heart feels heavy, and my mind is overwhelmed. I’m trying so hard to hold everything together, but I feel like I’m falling apart on the inside. I need You.

Remind me that I’m not a failure, I’m just a woman doing her best with what she has. Help me to see myself the way You see me: loved, chosen, and held together by grace.

God, I surrender the pressure, the chaos, and the noise. Teach me to breathe again. Show me how to rest in You, even when everything feels undone. Renew my strength, Lord. Light up the dreams I’ve buried. Speak hope to the places in me that feel forgotten.

Even when I can’t feel You, I trust that You’re near. You’re still writing my story, and I believe You’re working, even in the silence.

I am Yours. I am not alone. And I am still becoming the woman You created me to be, one small step at a time.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

From my heart to yours,
Carla  💗
